Chaptico Market and Deli was established in 1965 by Mr. John Wood, who kept everything very simple, serving homemade Chili from a Crock Pot and deli sandwiches. As well as a whole meat department with our famous Stuffed Ham and Country Sausage. He passed the store onto his daughter Virginia and son-in-law Jackie Tennyson known as Monkey and Jack. Monkey & Jackie continued the family legacy. They served the community for over 50 years and devoted their life to this store. Jackie & Monkey retired from their passion and sold the Legacy to son Ronnie and daughter-in-law Gwen Tennyson. Ronnie & Gwen made beautiful changes to the family market. A whole new addition to please our growing population of customers. Chaptico Market continues to grow in the Tennyson family name currently owned by grandchild Jodi Black and husband Lucas Black. We want to thank our community and loyal friends that have supported us over the years and would like to thank you all for making us four generations strong.
